How to Learn Skills in EVE Online

EVE Online is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game that connects thousands of players from all over the world to play together. People become stronger in this game by learning skills, such as engineering or gunnery, that are necessary for surviving and flourishing within the game. With some money in EVE Online, you can get started in learning your first set of skills.

Step 1 Earn ISK money in EVE Online. ISK, Interstellar Kredits, is the monetary value in the game and you can earn it in many ways. You can earn by completing missions, mining minerals from asteroids to sell and hunting pirates to collect their bounty.

Step 2 Buy a skill pack from either a player or a NPC. The prices for each skill pack will depend on its rank, as well as availability, and the demand for it.

Step 3 Use the skill pack. When you have used it, a timer will prompt you to when the training process will complete. Skills can take from about ten minutes to several days to finish, depending on the primary attribute needed for the skill. For example, traders will train in charisma-based skills faster because of their bonuses to charisma. Implants, such as the social adaptation chip, will help speed the process.

Step 4 Wait for the training timer to finish. The timer is clocked in real time, so you can train while you are doing other activities within the game, or as you are walking around or doing nothing. Training time even moves forward when you log off the game.

Step 5 Use your skill when the training timer has completed. If the skill is working properly, then you have learned a skill on EVE Online.
